My thoughts on Huxley Cream Anti-Gravity
When I choose a moisturizer the only thing I really look for is a cream to be really moisturizing. I don’t usually bother with other benefits. Simply because I use the Korean skincare routine so I add a lot of other products for the rest of my skin concerns. When I first looked at moisturizers to add to my routine I read a few reviews and this one came highly recommended by a lot of people.
The first thing about this cream is the scent for me. It is really strong [at least that is what my nose says]. I don’t find the scent very unpleasant but not very pleasant either. I have had a huge problem trying to define the scent in words but the closest I came is a herblike flowery scent. This scent also lingers for quite some time on my skin.
Huxley cream anti gravity is really thick in consistency, almost oily and at the first glance I would think it would work amazingly on my super dry skin. It has a color to it, which is a light minty green or a very light blue [depending on what light I am looking at it].
Packaging
Comes in a nice heavy glass jar with a spatula included. I do prefer my moisturizers in a tube. Since I do find it more hygienic. But I do feel that a nice jar looks much nicer.
When I apply this cream it feels really nice and smooth. It does tend to feel a little oily on my skin. If you are in a rush each morning this one is not to go for due to that it takes a long time for it to absorb.
So being stressed in the morning spending time just waiting for it to absorb to add foundation or BB cream on top [if you use it that is, if you don’t you are good to go] can be too long.
Directly after applying it my skin feels amazing, but that feeling don’t seem to last during the whole day. I live in Sweden so during a long period of the year the climate is rather cold and my skin gets even more dry. I tried using this during the winter time but I had to go back to a safe card cream since I did not help my skin very much. During the summer time this is much better for me but still it is one of those products that feels nice and moisturized on the skin but doesn’t seem to really go deeper than that.
Conclusion
This is not a winner for me. The scent is not for me at all, and the cream doesn’t make my skin really moisturized during the whole day either. It works better during the summer than winter at least but it is not something I would go for again.
