Please note these instructions apply only to the MFC9120CN and MFC9125CN. For all other models please click here then select your model and search for Drum Error.
The message 'Drum Error, Slide the Green Tab on the Drum Unit' will appear when the drum unit is dirty or has reached the end of its life and needs to be replaced. Please follow the following steps to clean the corona wire on your machine, if the error persists you would need to replace the drum unit[s] on your machine.
1. Clean the corona wire inside the drum unit for all four colors.
a. Fully open the top cover by lifting up on the handle [1].
b. Remove all four drum unit and toner cartridge assemblies. Be sure to place the assemblies on a clean flat surface with a piece of disposable paper underneath in case of spilled or scattered toner.
c. On each assembly, locate the green tab on the top, left side. Clean the primary corona wire inside the drum unit by gently sliding the green tab from right to left and left to right several times. Be sure to return the green tab to the home position [1]. If you do not return the green tab to the home position, this could result in a vertical stripe on printed pages.
NOTE: Perform this step for all four drum/toner assemblies.
d. Reinstall the drum unit and toner cartridge assemblies by sliding each one back into the machine. Be sure to match the toner cartridge color to the same color label on the machine.
e. Close the top cover of the machine.
If the problem persists the drum unit is indicating it needs to be replaced, you can follow these steps to reset the counter however please replace the Drum unit as soon
as you notice any decrease in quality on the pages you print.
Resetting the drum counter
When you replace a drum unit with a new one, you need to reset the drum counter by completing the following steps:
- Press 3 and 9 at the same time.
- Select drum and press OK
- Press the up or down arrow key to choose the color of the drum you replaced. Press OK.
- Press 1 to reset the drum unit counter.
- Press Stop/Exit.

Nguyên nhân khiến máy in brother báo lỗi cụm trống
1. Do lỗi drum [ trống ] , trong quá trình sử dụng bị hao mòn, hoặc do vật thể bên ngoài tác động vào [ ghim bấm, hạt sạn…]. Bạn cần thay thế Trống rời hoặc cả cụm trống [ drum ] là OK

2. Dây cao áp hoặc lưới cao áp trên Drum bị bẩn hay bị đứt. Lúc này máy in sẽ kèm theo dòng thông báo ” Slide the Green Tab on the Drum Unit “
3. Nếu sau khi thay trống hay dây cao áp [ curoa ] máy in vẫn báo drum error. Đừng lo lắng – lúc này bạn chỉ cần reset drum là ok

Bật nguồn – mở cửa trước của máy in
Bấm và giữ nút GO trong khoảng bốn 5 giây cho đến khi 04 đèn LED sáng lên.
Khi 4 đèn LED đều sáng, nhả Go ra. .
Đóng nắp máy in lại. Đợi máy in khởi động lại báo đèn xanh READY là OK.
