So sánh ngang bằng diễn tả sự tương đương, đồng đều, như nhau hay bằng nhau giữa hai sự vật. Nếu ở thể phủ định nghĩa có nghĩa ngược lại. Cấu trúc so sánh bằng trong tiếng anh: 1. Với tính từ/trạng từ:
- Ta có thể dùng so …as để thay thế cho cấu trúc as …as trong so sánh không bằng (dạng phủ định so sánh bằng).
